Audience Interviews
Out of 18 sixth form students all aged 16 or 17, we conducted interviews to find out if people like (or dislike) horrors, why they did/didn't like them, and if a selected few had fears in life. Although 11 randomly chosen people were interviewed on the video below, 7 gave their answers separately:

Questions we had asked:
Do you like horror?
What is your favourite sub-genre?
What is your favourite horror film?
What do you like about it?
Do you have any personal fears?
What are your thoughts on our initial idea of drowning in a nightmare sequence?
Overall our questionnaire results show that the majority of people like horror films, but mostly the boys disagreed due to the fact they don't like the thrill of waiting to be scared by something, whereas the girls seemed to prefer them. The most preferred sub genre of horror film was slasher, with a few people preferring psychological types of horror and zombie films, such as 'The Night Of The living Dead", due to the fact the content is gory and twisted.
Most people's fears include being scared by jumpy scenes and one person stated their fear is to be drowned or anything to do with water. This can be linked well to the fact that our first idea was 'Submerged', in which the storyline consisted of a young girl who was drowned and then haunted those who didn't help her or who were mean in her life. We believe if this particular viewer had seen this original idea put in to motion, they would be scared of this and consider it a good film, as it appeals to their specific fears. Also,we believe that those who stated that they preferred films based on psychotic killers would enjoy watching our latest idea of 'Method Of Revenge', as it is based on a psychotic killer who uses voodoo as a method of torturing his victims.
