Font Choices And Justifications
For fonts, we were tasked with finding a font that was effective but didn't distract the audience from the opening title sequence. We tried out several effective titles, however we settled on the font 'Typa-RA' is readable, out of the way, very effective because it is in a font which looks like a blood splatter and it stands out because it has a glow to it.

Our original idea 'Submerged' had a font which was written in lack text with jagged edges, in order to represent the way in which the character of the girl had died, in a tragic accident. We had decided to keep it simple against a white background, in order to make it more appealing to the audience. The white represented the innocence of the girl and how she was suddenly and tragically taken away in an accident, whereas the black text contrasts how she wanted to haunt those who had hurt her and get revenge.
Our final idea of 'Method For Revenge' consists of a black text on white background, so it still contains connotations of our original ideas, yet there are small features of red glows, which represents the overlay and credits from Se7en (1995). The black text and red have connotations of the evil intentions of the killer and the red has connotations of blood, which can clearly be seen in our film, as the killer stabs his own hand whilst trying to complete his voodoo doll. We used a white background to contrast this and represent the innocence of his victims, as they don't know that they are about to be cruelly tortured. The plain colour of the white also has connotations of simplicity, which can be linked to the plain soundtrack and bright lighting scheme. It can also represent how the killer constantly starts over with a blank canvas, his note book, as he is trying to create the perfect doll or victim.
